Weaving My Design Journey

“I am an artisan weaving the fabric of my dreams and imagination
into tangible reality through design.”

  • The Beginning: Discovering a Passion for Design

My journey into the world of design began in an unexpected way—doodling on the backs of bus tickets. This early exploration of creativity was nurtured by my parents, who saw potential in my art and encouraged me to pursue it as a career. This support led me to enroll in a bachelor's program in Fashion Design, where I excelled academically and artistically. My dedication and talent were recognized when I was awarded a gold medal by the President of India, as the most outstanding female student among all 34 Symbiosis colleges.

  • The Design Journey: Gaining Experience in Fashion and Graphic Design

The next phase of my career was marked by significant professional growth in the fashion industry. As a Senior Executive Designer with Anita Dongre, I gained valuable experience working with traditional Indian crafts and collaborating with NGOs. This role allowed me to develop my skills in design development, print creation, and order execution. I then transitioned to the retail fashion industry with Future Group brands, where I expanded my expertise to include designing collections, conceptualizing themes, and styling for catalog shoots. During this time, I discovered a passion for communication design, prompting a shift towards graphic design. This decision led me to pursue further education in graphic design at U.C. Berkeley Extension.

  • The Present: Embracing Graphic Design and New Challenges

In the current phase of my career, I have fully embraced graphic design as my primary focus. My roles at Impact Healthcare and CPI - Career Pathway Institute involve creating visual content that aligns with organizational missions and enhances brand identity. Additionally, my experience at One Community Global allowed me to refine my skills in social media graphics and sustainability-themed designs. This period has been characterized by a commitment to using design as a tool for communication and advocacy, demonstrating my ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments while consistently delivering high-quality work.
